KILDEGARDEN
In february 2020 we placed a bid on Kildegaarden in Roskilde to develop 3,500 m2 residential housing on a former military barracks area. We believe in mixing residents across ages and cultures to create more social sustainability in our cities.
Together with JJW we developed homes based on sustainability both socially and aesthetically. We created a concept where we mixed different size apartments in the same building and thus created the possibility for families, singles, young and seniors to live together across ages and cultures. The site is located along the adjacent Møllehusvej.
The housing was planned to be placed parallel to the street and thus continuing the urban narrative. On the backside, towards the Barracks, we planned a minor public park including stormwater management and edible planting. We reached the final but unfortunately did not win the project.
